Sean A. Sherlock

Sean A. Sherlock (, an Associate at Cohen & Cohen, P.C., graduated with honors from American University, Washington College of Law in 2011. Mr. Sherlock received his B.A. in Political Science from Penn State University in 2007.

During law school, Mr. Sherlock clerked for the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, Crime and Drugs Subcommittee where he worked on the confirmation hearings of Elena Kagan to be an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court. Mr. Sherlock was also a summer associate at the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia, a Dean’s Fellow for Professor Anna Gelpern, a staff member on the American University International Law Review, and a student prosecutor at the Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney’s Office, where he tried bench trials in the District Court.

Mr. Sherlock is a member of the bars of Virginia and the District of Columbia, and he is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. He is active in the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and the Trial Lawyers Association of Metropolitan Washington, D.C. and has been published in the Journal of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Sherlock lives in Falls Church, Virginia, with his wife and is an avid hockey fan.
